GENERAL INFORMATION AND PROGRAM SIGNUP

How does the system work?
We use BeFree's affiliate technology. BeFree will track the visitors you send to our site and collect sales and traffic data. BeFree takes no personal information or credit card data from the visitors. You will have access to an online reporting system that will provide you detailed statistics for your site, and allow you to understand what offer types are earning you the most commissions.

You earn commissions when a sale is shipped for a visitor you sent to us. BeFree generates the commission statements, and when your site has earned more than $25 in commission, you will get a check from us after the month ends.

Does it cost me anything to become a Boscov's affiliate?
No, it's FREE!

How do I get sign up?
It's a simple three-step process: read the Boscov's Affiliate Legal Agreement, fill out the Online Affiliate Application, and when we accept your application, you will be notified via email about how to link to us and start earning money.

Can I become an affiliate if my site is based outside the United States?
Since we currently do not ship merchandise outside the United States, we currently do not accept foreign affiliates. If you would like us to notify you when we add international shipping, please send an email to affiliates@boscovs.com.

I don't have a Web site yet. Can I still apply to the Boscov's Affiliate Program?
No, you must have an existing Web site in order to become a Boscov's affiliate.

AFFILIATE LINKS

How do I create links to Boscov's?
Once your site is approved, log into your account at BeFree and add appropriate links to your site from the BeFree links area. We offer a wide variety of sizes and styles of links so as to enable you to optimize your site for generating traffic and sales at Boscov's.

How can I download graphics and logos from Boscov's to my Web site?
All the graphics and logos are hosted on the Boscov's server, and the linking codes at http://boscovs.reporting.net include the code for the graphics. You may not host any Boscov's graphics on your site.

Can I use more than one Boscov's link on my site?
Yes, you may use as many links as you like. In fact, we recommend that our affiliates use several to test what works best. See "Success Ideas" for more on this topic.

What kind of advertising is not allowed in the Boscov's Affiliate Program?
You cannot send unsolicited email (aka spam) in any way. There are no exceptions and this will be strictly enforced. All affiliates in violation of this policy will forfeit their commissions and be removed from the program.

Can I promote my affiliation with Boscov's through a press release or other kind of announcement?
No. Boscov's will issue any press releases that may be necessary.

COMMISSION PAYMENTS

What is the commission structure?
We pay 5% commission on each purchase (excluding any returns, applicable sales tax, coupons, and shipping and handling charges.) made from a visitor sent directly from your site. Example: A visitor to your site clicks on a Boscov's banner, visits Boscov's, and buys merchandise for $100 (plus taxes, shipping and handling charges). Your 5% commission on this transaction is $5. Also, for every referred visitor making a purchase in a month, you are entered into our monthly drawings for bonus rewards.

How much can I earn?
We can't predict how much you will earn from the Boscov's Affiliate Program. Among the issues impacting what you will earn is the amount of traffic to your site and how you integrate our creative material into your site. For tips on maximizing your earnings, visit Success Ideas.

How often do I get paid?
Commission fees are paid monthly when the amount exceeds $25. If the commission fee is less than $25, the fees will rollover into the next month. Payments are processed approximately 30 to 45 days after the end of the month.

Do affiliates get paid for repeat visits?
An affiliate gets commission fees on all sales generated through that affiliate site. Affiliates also get paid commissions if a visitor buys within 5 days of the initial referral—even if they don't return to Boscov's through the same affiliate link. However, if a visitor to Boscov's doesn't accept cookies, or if they visit Boscov's through another affiliate link in the interim, the 5-day rule doesn't apply.

What about merchandise returns?
If a shopper returns merchandise for a refund, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be debited any commission earned on that transaction. (If merchandise is returned in exchange for new merchandise, or if goods are lost or damaged and we ship replacement goods to the customer, your commission will not be affected.)

How do I know how many Boscov's orders have come from my affiliate site?
Simply log in to your Boscov's account at http://www.reporting.net where you can access more than 15 online reports that track not only your click-throughs and commissions but also other activity to help increase sales.

How do I change my affiliate account information?
Simply log in to http://boscovs.reporting.net, and go to the Update User Account section. If you would like to change your URL, email affiliates@boscovs.com with your old and new URLs.
